Review of Zephyr
What was once the Four Points by Sheraton hotel at Darling Harbour, is now the very first Hyatt Regency in Sydney. The Hyatt Regency has undergone a complete makeover, but what has us most excited is their rooftop bar, Zephyr.
Perched on level 12 of the hotel, Zephyr offers sweeping views of Darling Harbour and boasts a glamorous fit out. In fact, it reminds us of bars in Asia. It’s open air, but is also under cover and can be closed off in wet weather conditions. So don’t let bad weather put you off!
At heart, Zephyr is a cocktail bar and this is where she really shines. Mixologist Grant Collins from The Powder Keg (amongst other ventures) has consulted with Zephyr to create a bespoke cocktail menu. Vermouths and rums play an important part on the menu along with aperitifs, digestifs and even frozen cocktails.
Though, the food has not been forgotten with a bar snack menu offered.
We think Zephyr is a great place to take guests visiting Sydney and also a top spot for locals to enjoy a night out with a view. We think it also works well as a pre or post dinner venue no matter the size of your crowd.
