Review of The Newport
Justin Hemmes has done it again.
The Newport has opened its doors providing to the North similar to what The Coogee Pavilion offers to the East.
Situated on the stunning Pittwater estuary, The Newport offers enviable views and as with its Eastern cousin it offers a variety of spaces and eating and drinking options.
The decor is Hamptons meets Mediterranean and it perfectly fits the relaxed Northern beaches vibe.
The sprawling site offers indoor and outdoor areas, plenty of seating (and shade) and is suited to families.
Executive Chef Sebastian Lutaud is behind the food and the menus are extensive with a marketplace of food and drink options.
There’s a Burger Shack, plenty of seafood and salads, a Juice Bar and a Kiosk for more casual options. Not to mention Vinnie’s Pizza specialising in wood oven pizzas. You can even order by their app!
Drinks wise there’s beer and wine of course as well as a cocktail menu which features the popular frozen cocktail Yuzu from Ms G’s amongst other refreshing sips such as a pina colada or a strawberry slurpie.
Live music and entertainment is a key feature along with regular festivals and events, for people of all ages.
The Newport is a great spot for groups and families and the type of place where you can easily while away a day or evening. Sit back, relax, enjoy the tunes and soak up that stunning view. Ah, this is Sydney!
Good to know there is also a free shuttle bus to The Newport from Manly.
Oh, and if you like The Newport, you might like to check out their fine dining restaurant, Berts Bar & Brasserie.
