Taste of Le Tour de France at Ananas Bar & Brasserie – 29 June – 21 July 2013

Parisian themed bar, Ananas, has created the ultimate foodie celebration of France’s greatest sporting event, The Tour de France.

Head chef Paul McGrath has created a special menu, celebrating each stage of the great race, so you can literally taste your way through the race!

There are more than 20 dishes on the menu, each dish inspired by the region, such as Spiced Crab Tortellini a Napoleon, from the fishing port town of Ajaccio (also birthplace to Napoleon), Confit Duck and Foie Gras on Brioche, from the town of Albi, famous for its foie gras and Beignets of Wild Pacific Oysters with Sauce Gribiche, from the coastal town of Saint Malo, known for its Belon Oysters.

The grand finale will be celebrated on Sunday 21 July, with a showcase of Parisian cheese and other charcuterie specialities.

Bar staff will be happy to suggest regional wine pairings from the extensive cellar, French beer or a classic cocktail.  Plus,  what better way to celebrate than with a glass of Champagne!

The menu runs from 29 June – 31 July.
