Review of the InterContinental Sydney
Sydney is one of the most beautiful cities in the world, so why not have a mini holiday in your own back yard? We love a ‘Staycation’ allowing us to enjoy Sydney as a ‘tourist’ and see her in a different light.
Of course for the ultimate Sydney ‘staycation’ you’re going to want a hotel with a view and the InterContental Sydney offers just that.
The InterContinental Sydney is a luxury five star hotel, set in an historic sandstone Treasury building at the Circular Quay end of the city.
InterContinental Sydney Rooms
There are a number of rooms and suites to choose from – with views of Sydney Harbour, the city or the Botanical Gardens.
The rooms are spacious (starting at 32 sqm) and modern with window seats to enjoy the views and all the mod cons.
Whilst wifi isn’t offered free in rooms, the option is available if you join their loyalty program (IHG Rewards).
Club InterContinental, InterContinental Sydney
Insider tip: upgrade to Club InterContinental! This gives you access to their rooftop Club, with sweeping views of Sydney Harbour and an outdoor terrace perfect for balmy evenings.
Club access gives you all day refreshments, buffet and a la carte breakfast and evening cocktails and canapés, amongst other perks.
InterContintal Sydney Facilities
Exercise enthusiasts will be interested to note they have a (small) hotel gym, so no excuses for skipping your gym session.
There is also an indoor pool (with stunning views) should you feel like a dip.

There’s plenty of in-house dining on offer should you not want to step outside the hotel:

Excellent breakfast buffet. Also offering lunch and (seafood) dinner buffets.
