Review of Porch and Parlour
FEATURED IN: TOP 10 BREAKFASTS
Porch and Parlour has been a favourite amongst Bondi locals (and non locals for that matter) for a while now and it shows no signs of slowing down having been refurbished late in 2015 and now seating an extra 40 people.
The interior is eclectic Bondi grunge with concrete walls, mis-matched timber and retro tiles. They’ve nailed the laid-backed hipster vibe.
Porch and Parlour are probably best known for their breakfasts with a menu featuring locally sourced seasonal produce. Goes without saying a green bowl is offered (standard Bondi brekky fare) full of kale, spinach, quinoa, coriander, mint, parsley, poached eggs and avocado. Or maybe the green pea pancakes with a poached egg and avocado and mint salad is more to your liking? Though if that all sounds too healthy, then you’re probably going to want the ‘Devils Breakfast’ – spicy chorizo, roasted potatoes, bean mole, chill and paprika coated eggs with sourdough.
There’s a lunch menu offered featuring dishes such as a ‘raw cosmic salad’ or maybe you just want a good old steak sandwich.
Good to know, Porch and Parlour is now offering dinner (Wednesday – Sunday). Whilst the menu is small, it hits the spot with options such as beef carpaccio, panfried calamari and seared yellow fin tuna.
Oh, and did we mention their friendly service?
We think Porch and Parlour is a great option morning, noon or night.
