Review of The Phoenix Hotel
The Phoenix Hotel has risen from the ashes of the short lived champagne bar, One Moncur.
The space has been completely transformed. Gone is the green tiled bar and that ivy and in its place are warm woods, exposed bricks and muted neutral tones. Put simply, it feels like a friendly, neighbourhood bar and that’s exactly what it is.
The food menu offers classic Mediterranean fare and is perfect for sharing. Expect to see favourites such as haloumi, souvlaki and saganaki prawns alongside more substantial dishes such as steak, pasta and gyros’. Oh, and for something sweet – we can’t go past the pears in Ouzo!
To quench your thirst, there is an interesting cocktail menu on offer, a wine list, beer on tap and there is a focus on local craft beer.
Also worth noting – the venue is a good option to hire out all or part for functions.
