Review of Ormeggio at The Spit
Ormeggio at the Spit is appropriately named, with the Italian word for ‘Ormeggio’ meaning ‘mooring’ or ”berth’. The restaurant makes the most of its spectacular waterfront setting on Middle Harbour.
Not to be outdone by its stunning backdrop, Ormeggio serves up equally impressive contemporary Italian cuisine. Executive Chef Alessandro Pavoni and his team utilise new and traditional cooking techniques, along with the finest produce. We think you’ll agree, the results are simply sensational. This is modern innovation at its best.
Dining at Ormeggio is an experience and to fully enjoy their fare, set course menus and a degustation menu is offered. Note their portion sizes are on the small side, so don’t be afraid to go for more courses. An award winning wine list will accompany your menu selections.
Ormeggio is open for lunch and dinner and you may also like to visit the adjoining Kiosk for a more casual bite, or to pick up a hamper to take out on your boat, should you be so lucky.
