The Open Air Cinema may now be over, but fear not, the Opera on Sydney Harbour is about to take its turn at the prized location of Mrs Macquarie’s Chair.
The Opera on Sydney Harbour is an open air performance of La Traviata, Verdi’s tragic love story and one of the worlds most popular opera’s, performed on a custom made stage, literally floating on a glistening Sydney Harbour. If you’ve never been to the opera before, this is your perfect opportunity to experience this romantic opera, complete with spectacular views of our very own Sydney Harbour. It doesn’t get much better.
As you should expect, once there, you will enjoy a range of restaurants and bars. We love the mobile Champagne Bars, which mean you will not miss your obligatory glass of bubbly pre-show or during the interval.
The opera is showing for 3 weeks only, from 24 March – 15 April 2012. Tickets range from $85 for a C Reserve ticket, to $350 for a Platinum Ticket. There are also Dining and Accommodation packages available.
Fella’s – if you’re looking to impress your lady – you might like to take special note of this post. Take it from us, you’re sure to win serious brownie points. Just sayin….
So, frock up and enjoy a spectacular night at the opera – Sydney style!
