Well it’s almost that time of year again, when Merivale launches its annual Food and Wine Festival, March into Merivale. Running from 14 February to 20 March and now in its eighth year, this years theme is ‘guilty pleasures’.
The program is jam packed and your only difficulty will be sorting through the events to find your favourites.
So to help you out, we checked out the 2016 Program and compiled a list of our personal highlights:
- March into Merivale Launch Party
The Launch Party will be held at Ivy on 10 February and provides a sneak peak of the festival with popup stalls from Merivale venues including Mr Wong, The Paddington, Coogee Pavilion, est. and Papi Chulo. Always a great night.
- Tuesday – Friends with Benefits
Great food and wine deals will be available for dinner on Tuesdays at a host of Merivale venues including Ms G’s, The Paddington, Papi Chulo and est. A very reasonably priced mid-week dinner!
- Wine Not?
New Zealand winery Villa Maria’s wine maker and Merivale sommelier Franck Moreau unveil their top picks from the cellar on 22 February. One for wine connoisseurs. Hosted at Merivale’s newest bar, J&M.
- A Night in Paris
Join the long table in Ash St. Laneway on 10 March for a French feast!
- Coogee Foreshore Festival
The Coogee Pavilion will be hosting a Food and Wine Festival on 20 March, with pop-up food stalls and live music and entertainment.

Word of warning – most events do require purchasing tickets. So book early to avoid disappointment. Events do sell out.
