Review of Firefly
Firefly has been lighting up the North Shore for a few years now and it continues to be a top spot in our minds.
Part restaurant, part small bar, the name ‘Firefly’ is inspired by Lucetta Sernia, or ‘La Lucetta’ – meaning Little Light, The Firefly. Lucetta was a rebel and travelling cabaret artist born in Italy in the 1800’s who later owned an enoteca, which became famous for its rustic fare and warm hospitality.
Firefly‘s decor is appropriately cosy, eclectic and inviting. We think whether you are on a first date or in a group you’re gong to feel right at home here.
The food menu comprises tapas and share plate style dishes, with some handy banquet options for groups. The quality is certainly a step up from your standard small bar offerings and is perfect for grazing. Don’t miss the signature Zucchini Fries! Drinks wise, you’ve got an extensive wine selection, cocktails and craft beers to choose from.
With friendly staff to boot, we think Firefly makes for a great local option.
