Review of Devon Cafe
Devon Cafe first opened in Surry Hills and quickly gained popularity as one of Surry Hills’ best cafes, winning a host of awards. Not an easy feat in this cafe heavy suburb where competition is fierce. Since then they briefly opened in Waterloo but have now found their second home in the new Barangaroo foodie precinct.
Devon Cafe blends Asian fusion cuisine with coffee and they’re serving up something a little different to traditional cafe fare. The menu focuses on innovative breakfast and lunch options served in relaxed surroundings with friendly service.
You might like to choose Breakfast with the Sakura’s – miso grilled king salmon, smoked eel croquette, 63 degrees egg, radish petit salad and kewpie mayonnaise. While sweet tooths will no doubt be drawn to the Cookies ‘n’ Cream – choc chip cookie, coconut cream, caramel sauce, fresh banana, caramel ball, gold dust fleuilletine and freeze dried raspberry. We told you this was a step up from your usual cafe fare!
We’re excited to see cafes such as Devon Cafe pushing the boundaries of what is considered ‘cafe food’. We’re fans!
