Review of Dead Ringer
Sydney-siders have been eagerly anticipating the arrival of Dead Ringer for some time. You see the guys responsible for this establishment are also behind the much loved and awarded cocktail bar, Bulletin Place Bar. Not bad credentials.
Taking up residence in the old Emmilou site, the venue has been completely transformed. Gone are the red walls and graffiti and in their place are neutral tones with natural woods.
They’ve created a welcoming and inviting neighbourhood vibe with a street front alfresco terrace, an indoor bar and restaurant and out the back you’ll find a charming courtyard – helloooo Summer!
Goes without saying cocktails are a specialty. But unlike Bulletin Place Bar‘s changing cocktail menu, they’ve created a signature range of drinks at Dead Ringer available every day of the week. Oh, and they’re bringing back the Bacardi Breezer! With their own spin (and label) of course.
Also unlike Bulletin Place Bar, they have a food menu here. An extensive one at that.
Chef Tristan Rosier, who can list est. on his resume, has created the menu which comprises share style dishes with a focus on quality Australian produce with a rustic edge. We think the dishes deliver more than a hint of finesse and sound just a little bit fancy! But thankfully, they don’t disappoint on flavour.
Visit as a couple or in a group – we think it’s a great option for quality food and drinks.
