Review of Darlo Country Club
Sadly The Victoria Room may be no more, however there’s no need to fret because The Darlo Country Club has taken over the space.
The Darlo Country Club makes the most of its soaring ceilings with a warm and bright interior and a soft use of colours. In fact, it’s not hard to imagine you’re in any number of country clubs in the US once you step inside.
In keeping with their theme, they’re offering LA inspired food and drinks.
Naturally cocktails are a focus and they have created their own signatures, including the ‘L.A. Noire’, an espresso martini with a dry spice chai twist or ‘The Hollywood Sour’, kettle one vodka, white chocolate campari, lemon, vanilla and chocolate bitters.
They also offer a number of classics such as Negroni’s and Singapore Slings or they will create your own favourite if you prefer.
Getting to the food, an ‘LA’ inspired menu is offered with some of the standouts for us being the nonna’s balls, fried chicken with maple butter, gravy and corn bread and the apple pie. There is also a tasty mac’n’cheese available. It doesn’t get much more American than that!
The menu is divided into entrees and mains and can easily be adapted to suit groups and share style dining.
We think The Darlo Country Club is also a great spot for groups and a stellar late night option.
