Review of Cirrus
Cirrus, which is located in the Barangaroo foodie precinct is brought to us by Chef Brent Savage and Sommelier Nick Hildebrandt, who are also responsible for fine dining staple Bentley Restaurant + Bar, wine bar Monopole and vegetarian restaurant Yellow. As with each of their restaurants, they offer something slightly different and Cirrus is all about seafood.
The decor is minimalist with a natural colour palette and sleek design and plenty of natural light. Oh, and naturally there is a 1950’s style speedboat hanging from the ceiling!
The menu focusses heavily on sustainably caught seafood, but there are a few non seafood options on the menu for those who are not seafood fans. As has become their style, the menu is designed to be shared. The menu starts with an oyster and caviar selection, moves on to a selection of starters and then to crustaceans, fish and other meats. They also offer a seafood platter and a tasting menu to make your selections even easier.
Of course the wine plays an important part and pairs beautifully with the food. The wine list consists of over 500 local and international drops and your sommelier will be more than happy to help you perfectly pair your wine with your dishes.
We think Cirrus is a worthy addition to the Bentley empire!
