Review of Bert’s Bar & Brasserie
Bert’s Bar & Brasserie has landed at The Newport and Sydney’s Northern beaches must be counting their lucky stars. With a 1930’s theme, Bert’s Bar & Brasserie is bringing a touch of glamour to the beaches, whilst still retaining our relaxed Aussie charm.
Merivale sure know how to create a venue and Berts Bar & Brasserie is no exception. Sweeping views of Pittwater flood the windows, while a pastel colour palette of neutrals, pinks and greens provide a serene interior.
Chef Jordan Toft has created a coastal European menu. There’s plenty of seafood on offer, including an Oyster bar, as well as pasta, grilled meats and sides. Or you can make things easy by choosing from one of their two sharing menus.
Sommelier Franck Moreau has put together an extensive wine list, which is updated regularly to reflect the seasons. A selection of specialy curated cocktails (and mocktails) are also available, along with craft beers and spirits.
Oh, and if you really want to arrive in style (or just want to beat the traffic), you’ll be pleased to know you can arrive by Seaplane. Click here for more details about Seaplane packages.
I think Berts Bar & Brasserie is a top spot for a classy night out. Just beware – this is not going to be a cheap night out!
