Every year in Sydney we are treated to new restaurant and bar openings, each one seemingly more exciting than the last.  It is never easy to keep this list to just 10, but we’ll try our best.  We don’t want to update you on every single restaurant and bar opening this year.  Just the top spots!

  1. RESTAURANT HUBERT
    French bistro classics are served in a magnificent, dimly lit vintage space, which pays homage to the grand dining rooms of yesteryear.  Offering restaurant and bar options.

    Exceptional modern Indian cuisine is served in this underground city den.  A great spot for groups.

    Hidden Nordic themed underground small bar/resto serving Scandinavian food and drinks alongside warm service.

    New cocktail bar brought to us by The Lobo Plantation team with a focus on rum and rye whisky.  Celebrating 1940’s Paris.

    Merivale’s newest offering with farm to table approach and a focus on sustainable and ethical dining.  Also featuring a cocktail bar (Charlie Parker’s) downstairs.

    Mike McEarney (from Kitchen by Mike) is back and this time he’s offering a fully fledged restaurant with a menu that follows his ethos of simple cooking.

    Ex Nomad Chef Nathan Sassi is back with his new Spanish venture in the CBD.  A great corporate option, featuring a tapas menu, rotisserie meats and hand-made cheeses.

    UK Michelin starred Chef Jason Atherton’s first Australian restaurant.  He’s gone for a relaxed, casual vibe and it works.

    Merivale’s newest offering is set on the stunning shores of Pittwater.  With plenty of indoor and outdoor spaces for eating and drinking as well as being family friendly they’ve done it again.
