Toko Restaurant & Bar and next door Tokonoma Lounge offer an informal style of Japanese ‘izakaya’ dining.
Situated on busy Crown Street in Surry Hills, the decor of both establishments is contemporary and minimalist with subtle lighting taking centre stage.
Both Toko and Tokonoma are always buzzing and they provide the perfect place to stop in for some edible nourishment, should you be visiting one of the many nearby bars.
Toko’s space is divided into a restaurant and a bar. The food menu is designed to be shared and they also offer a Sushi Bar and Robata Grill. The food menu is offered in the bar area in a more relaxed and casual setting. Good to know, there’s a private dining room, seating 12 – 20 people, perfect for your next function. In terms of the drinks menu, you’ve got an extensive cocktail list, sake’s, shochu’s and a selection of Japanese whiskeys to tempt you. Of course, there is also a wine list.
Tokonoma next door, provides a plush and luxurious lounge setting and offers the same food menu as Toko. Shochu is the star here and diners can experience infused shochu tonics in the comfort of their leather banquette seating.
We think Toko & Tokonama are perfect for groups and intimate gatherings alike.
