Located in popular Surry Hills you’ll find casual neighbourhood pub, The Beresford.  Unlike the small bars popping up around town lately, this place is huge.  There’s a front bar, a bistro at the back, our favourite – a huge beer garden, plus an upstairs live music venue.  You can pretty much be sure it will always be packed, and it will always be loud.  This is not a place you come to sit back for a quiet glass of wine and a chat.  This is a place you come to be seen, this is a place you come with your friends to have a good time.

The Italian trattoria serves a large menu from bar snacks, to pizza, pasta, meat dishes and dessert, at particularly reasonable pub prices.  To go along with that, there is an impressive wine list.  Their cocktail list is well worth a read, with some great share cocktails, Beresford signatures, as well as the classics.

This is a great local pub.  Those Merivale people sure know how to make a good bar, don’t they?  It is pretty hard to beat the beer garden on a balmy Sydney afternoon or evening.  Just expect to have to deal with the masses.  Also worth noting, this is a gay friendly bar, especially on Sundays.
