Tucked away in the Four in Hand Pub in leafy Paddington, you will find Four in Hand By Guillaume . Celebrity Chef Colin Fassnidge successfully ran the restaurant for 10 years, but in early 2016 French Chef Guillaume Brahimi took over the reins. Though you won’t be seeing him in the kitchen here. Instead you’re more likely to see him sitting at the bar enjoying a bite for lunch.
You won’t find much has changed inside under Guillaume’s rule. The magnificent squid artwork still takes pride of place and leather banquet seats still line the wall. It’s an intimate space with a grown up feel, whilst still retaining the relaxed charm of a local pub, noise and all. Just don’t expect your average pub grub in this dining room.
Guillaume has teamed up with Head Chef Darrell Felstead (ex-Foveaux) to create a new gastro-pub menu with a French twist. This is Guillaume’s version of pub grub. Best of all, the dishes are affordably priced compared to the dishes at his nearby fine dining restaurant Guillaume.
An extensive wine list accompanies the food with friendly staff on hand to assist with your selections. Oh, and they have a private room upstairs which is perfect for functions.
However, if you’re looking for a slightly more relaxed feel you’ll want to skip the dining room and head straight to the attached bar where you can still enjoy fine fare with their bar menu.
