Chippendale becomes the ultimate foodie destination with the arrival of Ester Restaurant & Bar. Ester is owned by Mat Lindsay, formerly a chef at Billy Kwong and he’s serving up some pretty serious nosh here.
Inside, you will find a warm, intimate vibe with minimalist decor and you may choose from table or bar seating. But, the real star of the show is the huge wood fire oven, on full display in the open kitchen.
The compact menu comprises share style dishes with an unmistakable foodie edge. There’s nothing pedestrian about this menu. For the more adventurous, a Blood Sausage Sandwich or maybe the Pig’s Tails. Or perhaps good old fashioned wood fired meats sound more up your alley. Whatever you choose, leaving room for dessert is a must.
