As the weather chills, the last place you’d think you’d be wanting to go is to the beach, right?  Wrong.  The Bondi Beach Winter Festival is on from 29 June – 15 July and it’s the place to be this winter!

The annual Winter Festival is a celebration of all things winter, and is centered around the largest outdoor ice rink in the Southern Hemisphere.  So, get down to Bondi Beach, don your skates and get moving!  Special demonstrations such as ice-hockey and figure skating will also be happening during the festival.

Once you’ve exhausted yourself on the ice-rink, relax in the Alpine Hut complete with open fires and indulge in some winter warming Mulled Wine or German Biers, or perhaps Apres-ski delights such as French Crepes and Swiss Raclette.  What could be better than sitting back and soaking up the live music and entertainment in your very own winter wonderland?

Entry to the festival is free, but you will need to purchase a ticket to skate.  Prices range between $17-$25 for a 45 minute skating session.  You can buy your tickets here, or on the day, subject to availability.

So, what are you waiting for?  Get down to Bondi Beach and make the most of winter!
