Review of Boathouse on Blackwattle Bay
Perched above the Sydney Rowers Club you will find this romantic seafood restaurant. Making the most of its spectacular waterfront view with wrap around floor to ceiling windows the Boathouse at Blackwattle Bay embodies style and grace. By day you will enjoy stunning city and Anzac Bridge views and by night the twinkling lights take centre stage.
This is without doubt a place for seafood lovers, so if seafood’s not your thing, this is probably not your place. But, if it is – you’re in for a real treat.
A fish focused a la carte menu is offered, with a few non-seafood options. Menus change daily according to the freshest available produce. The dishes are beautifully described with presentation befitting a restaurant of this calibre. Of particular note is their signature dish, the Snapper Pie, served at the table. Oyster lovers will be wowed by their shucked to order oyster range.
The wine list is extensive and perfectly accompanies their food menu.
The service is a well oiled machine with wait staff effortlessly gliding throughout the space with the uncanny ability to appear precisely when needed.
For a truly memorable experience, we suggest arriving at the Boathouse on Blackwattle Bay by water taxi – Sydney style!
