There’s no denying the Art Gallery of NSW is a spectacular building, set in a stunning location.  Whether you’re a Sydney-sider or a tourist, a visit to the Art Gallery should be high on your list.

Whenever we visit the Art Gallery to check out an exhibition we always finish off with an elegant lunch at The Art Gallery Restaurant.

The Art Gallery Restaurant is situated on the ground floor at the rear of the building, boasting sweeping views of Woolloomooloo Wharf through floor to ceiling glass windows.  Flooded with natural light, the sleek multi-leveled restaurant features bright red carpeting along with splashes of white and light timbers.

Serving contemporary Modern Australian cuisine, Executive Chef John McFadden plates up beautiful food to complement the stunning surroundings.  Dishes are appropriately presented as a work of art.

So, why not embrace a little culture and enjoy an elegant lunch, or high tea along with your visit to the Art Gallery?  Nothing like doing it in style!
